Sorry again, everyone, but I appear to be falling behind on my resolution to blog a little more often. This has been a pretty busy week, but here are some of the highlights:
Thursday, I took a class to learn how to use the Electronic Music Studios at the Duderstadt Center on U of M's North Campus. It was awesome. I don't think the guy training was all that great of a trainer, and sometimes he really didn't sound confident in his presentation, but the whole thing got my interest going. He spoke mostly on the science of sound and what different aspects of a sound board controlled. Now I am really thirsty to get going. I want to get some friends in there to record some music for our own laughs and to remember our time we spent together before we went our separate ways.
This weekend has been really busy. Saturday, I tool the boys to get their hairs cut, and then out to lunch, and finally home for nap. In the evening, we had rehearsal for church and today were the two services and a long overdue nap. I was out for a couple hours solid and I really did not want to get out of bed after Paxton came in to wake me up.
Heather and I cleaned up the house and made dinner before engaging the boys in an intense game of Candyland, of which Heather "cleaned our clocks". The boys went up to watch a quick movie before bed while I vacuumed the living room.
I am looking forward to this week more than usual. I don't know why. Perhaps it's the combination of our pastor's message on "bridging the racial divide" and Martin Luther King day. The one negative we had about moving to Dundee was the lack of diversity in this town. It is around 97% white. Hopefully as Dundee grows they will have some opportunities to have friends across all racial lines.
Well, it is getting late and I am just rambling. More to come soon.
